When advising a couple that recently approached me regarding their relationship, they expressed that they had an idea of living with each other for a period of time prior to marriage. Their assumption is, that if cohabitation exist prior to marriage, they will be able to become accustomed to one another. This cohabitation will be able to test the durability of the relationship to see if they are able to withstand each other during these several months. Living together will allow this couple to see, how are we creating our cohabitation, who does what around the house, managing money together parenting responsibilities.
